One of the founding directors of Cane Cohen, Nicholas was previously a partner in an

independent financial advisory practice and prior to that working with the Wealth Management arm of a major high street bank.


Nicholas specialises in providing advice to those requiring a discretionary portfolio management
service, trustee investments and advice for older clients, particularly where provision for long term care costs might be required.


Nicholas holds the Financial Planning Certificate and additional qualifications, including the CII Long Term Care qualification. He is a member of both
the Personal Finance Society and the Institute of Financial Planning.

 

 

Professional designations :

Nicholas is also a member of the Professional Adviser IFA panel which provides comments, views and reports on matters to the wider IFA community.

Simon Fisher FCIB.APFS
Director & Chartered Financial Planner

Simon joined us in 2006 having spent the previous 8 years setting up, and then running, the financial planning department of a well known Solicitors practice in Kent. Previously he was with a major financial institution from 1985 to 1998 and an IFA since 1987.

Simon is our pensions specialist including Unsecured Pensions, ASP and SIPPs. He is authorised by the FSA to advise on Occupational Pension Scheme transfers and is an approved adviser to members of the University Superannuation Scheme. He has membership of the PFS Retirement & Care faculty and the Personal Financial Planning faculty.

He has been on the Chartered Insurance Institute examiners panel for Certificate and Diploma examinations, deliverednworkshops for the CII and provides Law Society accredited training to family lawyers.

Simon is also an IFA member of Resolution and handles our work with family law solicitors on matters of divorce including single joint expert reports.

Professional Examinations : Chartered Insurance Institute passes in Taxation & Trusts (G10), Personal financial planning (G20), Pensions (G60), Investment Portfolio Management (G70), Lifetime Mortgage activities (CF7), Long Term Care (CF8), Pensions Simplification (CF9), Mortgage Advice Qualification (MAQ) and Financial Planning Certificate (FPC). Completion of the Associateship examinations of the Chartered Institute of Bankers including papers on - Law & Practice, Economics, Financial Accounting & Housing.

Susan Cane
Finance Director
 
Susan has over 20 years experience, primarily in Retail & Corporate Banking, and handles all financial matters relating to the firm.

James Matthews
Director

James is a partner at the legal firm of Tassells and was admitted as a solicitor in 1987.

Director

Stafford is senior partner at the legal firm of Tassells and was admitted a solicitor in 1970.
