Nicholas Cane Director

Nicholas' career history spans over 30 years in financial services. Nicholas sees himself as his clients'
'project manager', utilising his own skills in conjunction with those of associated specialists to ensure that
each client enjoys a total wealth management service delivered from one source. He is a member of the Institute
of Financial Planning and the Personal Finance Society.
Susan Cane Finance Director A founding director of Cane Cohen, Susan manages the company finances, staffing
and external contract matters. With a 20 year history in Corporate and Retail Banking Susan brought a wealth of
relevant experience with her to the benefit of both the company and our clients.
Dr Ann Matthews Director and Solicitor* A qualified Trust and Estates Practioner, Ann first qualified in medicine in
1989 and then as a solicitor in 1994. She is head of the Family and Private Client departments of Tassells Solicitors. Ann
is also chair of East Kent Collaborative Law (committed to promoting a civilised process for separating couples), and a member
of the Law Society Family Panel.
James Matthews Director and Solicitor*
A partner in Tassells Solicitors, James
qualified as a solicitor in 1987 and now undertakes commercial work and litigation. He spent ten years working for central
government in the Treasury Solicitor's Department, leading to his continued interest in planning, education law, human
rights and other aspects of administrative law.
Consultant: Karen Ritchie Karen, a financial planner with extensive experience, works with
Cane Cohen on a consultancy basis in her specialist area. Accredited by Resolution (previously the Solicitors Family
Law Association), Karen specialises in divorce work, working with clients and their solicitors through all stages of
the process. She acts as a financial neutral in Collaborative Law cases.
