Current Circumstances and Requirements
The prerequisite for sound financial planning advice is a full understanding of your current circumstances,
future plans and aspirations. At the start, we will need to gather all the relevant facts about your current financial arrangements,
family and/or business circumstances and future objectives. At this meeting we will agree on the areas where advice is needed
and the order of priority.
Our charges depend upon the extent and complexity of the work we are to undertake. This aspect will be discussed and agreed with you
in writing before any work commences.
We do not make a charge for an initial meeting or discussion. You can also make an initial enquiry via
telephone or email without cost.
You can read further about how we are paid here.
Analysis and Research
Armed with the necessary information, we then conduct a full analysis of your current financial arrangements
and their relevance to future requirements. Any shortfalls needing attention will be highlighted, as will any alterations
deemed necessary to existing contracts. We will then undertake in depth research of existing and any proposed investments
and plans.
Presentation of Our Advice
At this stage we put forward our generic advice and will discuss with you our findings, supported by
a written report. Sometimes our advice will include reference to areas not highlighted at the initial meeting and suggestions
for future action. It is at this point that we agree upon the actions to be taken and the timescale.
Implementation of Recommendations
Agreement having been reached on the actions to be taken, we now provide specific recommendations based
upon the advice we have given and your agreement to a course of action. We will deal with any necessary paperwork on your
behalf; ensure that any legislative requirements are satisfied and that providers' have all the necessary information to complete
any contracts.
Reviews
Any new contracts put in place and any existing ones will need to be monitored to make certain that
they are still relevant, should either personal circumstances or market conditions alter in the future. Some of the recommendations
we make may be in respect of actions to be taken at a later date. For these reasons it is advisable that a periodical review
takes place and we will agree with you the frequency of reviews.
Cost of Advice
There is no such thing as free advice - there is a cost to the purchase of every financial product,
usually including a commission payment for the adviser.
We are a fee-based practice, clearly demonstrating our complete impartiality.
