Family Office
We specialise in providing a Family Office service. Putting that in broad terms, as a Family Office we assume responsibility for looking after all aspects of our clients' financial affairs. No two individuals have the same set of circumstances and what they require of professional advisers from particular disciplines will differ. Our job is to act as the hub through which a comprehensive and integrated service, using specialist associates where appropriate, can be provided to make life simpler for our clients.

All encompassing
The list is long, but our service typically includes management of cash funds and investments, assisting with tax reporting and tax planning, retirement planning and potential care costs funding, provision for future generations, trust administration and estate planning. For many clients we also assist with a diverse range of other matters. In fact we can usually assist, either in-house or via our trusted professional connections, with anything that touches on the financial life of our clients to provide an all encompassing service.

Multi-Disciplinary approach
Our approach is multi-disciplinary. We believe most strongly that those advising on a particular aspect of a client's affairs should not act in isolation. The sole adviser acting for a client on a specific matter without reference to other specialists may put a client's financial wellbeing in danger, especially in areas that overlap such as taxation. We believe that we know enough to know that we do not know enough. We act for our clients by managing their affairs in conjunction with specialist support in appropriate areas to make sure that properly rounded advice is given then acted upon.

Advisers
In dealing with his or her financial affairs, an individual is likely to be dealing with a number of advisers - perhaps an accountant, solicitor, bank, stockbroker, property agent and maybe others. All acting for the client in their own specialist field. Do they liase with each other before taking action, especially in areas that overlap disciplines? Who co-ordinates activity to ensure that the work of one complements the work of the others, avoiding duplication or worse? With our multi-disciplinary approach, we are always happy to work with clients' existing advisers to the advantage of the central figure - the client.

Our Clients
Virtually all our clients come to us having been introduced by existing clients or other professionals. Private client work is very personal and effective management of financial affairs is a life long activity. Trust in the adviser is vital and building a close professional relationship is key to the successful management of a clients' financial affairs. When a prospective new client meets with us, we each want to be sure that we can work together over the long term. This is why we have a three step approach to the establishment of services for a new client.

What does it cost?
Fees are discussed and agreed with new clients when we know what is required and before commitment is made. The level of charge will depend on the scope and complexity of a client's affairs. We provide a written agreement for each client so that it is understood with absolute clarity what we will be doing for the client and the basis of charge.
